When noise level is an issue, Kato can offer
sound-attenuated generators. These units have a
combination of the following:
Per ISO standards, we measure noise as pressure in
dBA. Measurements are made at three feet from the
unit in a free field (without walls, which would
reflect noise).
The maximum noise level where people are working
is typically 85 dBA. Kato has met this standard with
10 MW, 1800 RPM generators.
