Manager of Human Resources

SUMMARY: Plans and carries out policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Directs the human resource function.

Recruits, interviews and helps select employees to fill vacant exempt positions.

Plans new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward Company goals.

Interprets and administers collective bargaining agreement. Represents Company in 
collective bargaining agreement negotiations.

Keeps a record of insurance coverage, pension plan and personnel transactions such as
hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations.

Responsible for compensation program.

Prepares budget for human resource operations.

Represents Company at personnel related hearings and investigations.

Keeps records of hired employee characteristics for governmental reporting purposes.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree and six to eight years related experience and/or training. Prefer M.A. I. R. and/or S.P.H.R. Certification.
