Kato Engineering's new line of generators for steam and gas turbine applications combine high-power density with an economical price. 

Available in short cycle times, these high performance, high efficiency machines have the following specifications: 

Power Rating: 3.5 to 8.5 MW

Frequency: 60 Hz or 50 Hz (at 5/6 voltage and kVA), three phase

Voltage: up to 15 kV

Weight: 36,000 lbs (8.5 MW unit)

Accessories included:
- Low temperature space heater (<200° C)
- RTDs in the windings and bearings
- Voltage regulator
- PMG
- Flexible mounting configuration
- Differential CTs (CCCT)

These machines have the same heavy epoxy for all conductors (rotor, stator, armature) that has helped earn Kato generators the reputation for quality and durability. They meet NEMA, IEE, IEC, CSA and other certifications and standards

They represent a major improvement to the middle of Kato's product range. They are based on the experience gained from designing and manufacturing hundreds of steam and gas turbine generators, generators that are currently in power generation applications around the globe.
