The BASEEFA standard has been chosen by major oil and gas companies as their safety certification for electrical equipment used in hazardous environments. • Non sparking fans: special emphasis regarding type and composition along with maintaining prescribed clearance between stationary components
• Minimum air gap clearance based on rotor diameter, length and speed
• Main power leads and connections constructed so that sound joints and minimum creepage distances are maintained
• High integrity enclosures without special maintenance requirements
• Live parts are in a totally sealed enclosure, which is vacuum tested
